Golf club new bar and grill celebrates grand opening
The Valle Vista Golf Club invites the public to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for the grand opening of Sandbaggers Bar and Grill, located at 755 E. Main St., Greenwood.
The festivities include light refreshments and a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to Sandbaggers Bar and Grill. Attendees can check out their newly remodeled Pro Shop with the addition of three golf simulators. After the ribbon cutting, attendees are welcome to stay and enjoy the sports bar.
Upcoming Franklin Chamber workshop
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Baird and The 3C Group, is presenting the “Plan Ahead: Business Succession Strategies” workshop on Thursday from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
The workshop is designed to help business owners through strategies for succession planning. Attendees can learn how to protect their legacy, transition smoothly and ensure the future success of their business. People are also invited to network with local professionals and gain actionable insights tailored to the unique needs of their business and the community.

Edinburgh hotel earns award

Johnson County home sales update
Johnson County saw inventory continuing to increase in March, while prices moderated, according to data from FC Tucker Company.
Specifically in Johnson County:
- Available housing inventory increased 36.6%.
- The median home sale price increased only 1.6% to $320,000, compared to March 2024.
- Johnson County homes spent four days longer on the market as this time last year, selling in 22 days.
- Pending home sales decreased 0.8% compared to March 2024.
