Local chef to appear on ‘Sushi Master’ | Ozaukee Co. Business News
MEQUON — Chef Jason Morimoto, executive chef of Screaming Tuna Mequon and alumni executive of Screaming Tuna Milwaukee, was selected as one of eight contestants from across the country to compete for the title on season two of “Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s Sushi Master.”
The world’s first sushi competition show, which will air on the Roku Channel Friday, pits rising sushi chefs against each other for a $25,000 grand prize as they’re judged by sushi legend Chef Masaharu Morimoto and Michelin star Chef Phillip Frankland. World-renowned Chef Masaharu Morimoto is the star of Iron Chef Japan / Iron Chef America and one of the driving forces behind the world’s sushi boom.
To celebrate Morimoto, Screaming Tuna has announced watch parties at the Mequon Public Market, 6300 W. Mequon Road, to begin immediately after the show airs. Watch parties will cost $50 per person and include an open bar with beer, wine, sake, bittercube cocktails & sodas.
The current dates are as follows:
– Episode one: 5 p.m., April 27
– Episode two: 5 p.m., May 4
– Episode three: 2 p.m., May 10
