Everest makes new leadership appointments for US Wholesale insurance business


Everest, a provider of reinsurance and insurance solutions, is expanding the executive leadership team for its US Wholesale insurance business, Everest Evolution™.

everest-logo-2024The appointments include Matt Meserole as Head of Excess Casualty, where he will oversee the strategic direction and underwriting performance of the Everest Evolution Excess Casualty business.

Meserole, a proven leader with a reputation for attracting top industry talent, was instrumental in the creation of the Company’s Excess Casualty organization and the launch of the Excess Casualty offering for US Wholesale customers, Everest noted.

Prior to Everest, he served as a production underwriter at All Risks.

Adam Birch has been appointed Head of Industry Specialties, and has been tasked with leading the strategic growth of Everest Evolution’s Construction and Energy industry-focused segments, while maintaining his role as Central Region Distribution Leader for US Wholesale customers.

Birch has previously held senior underwriting positions of increasing responsibility at Lexington Insurance and Argo Group.

Cristin McCarthy, who has a proven track record of providing excellent and consistent solutions for construction broker partners, was appointed Head of Excess Construction.

McCarthy previously worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where she held progressively senior roles in Excess Construction underwriting, prior to joining Everest.
