Laguna Golf Phuket has revealed a series of enhancements to the PGA Golf Academy, the only one of its kind in Southeast Asia, further solidifying its reputation as a leading golf and leisure destination.
The updates include a refurbishment that features upgraded equipment and the introduction of a new series of golf lessons tailored to individual needs, requirements, and age groups, led by a team of certified resident PGA Professional coaches. The academy is dedicated to high-performance coaching and boasts an elite line-up of instructors, each possessing extensive expertise in their respective fields – meaning there is a greater emphasis on education and player development.
The coaches’ line-up at the PGA Golf Academy at Laguna Golf Phuket includes Sean Harrison, a British PGA Coach who incorporates Trackman technology in precision coaching. He is joined by Bruce Loome, a specialist in backward chaining coaching methods and co-author of the book “The Philosophical Golfer.”
Also, part of the team is Matthew Richardson, a fitness and nutrition specialist with over 30 years of experience, who shares his expertise in strength training specifically designed for golfers. Matt is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has credentials in nutrition and TRX. Jeff Craig, a two-time champion in Pennsylvania with experience on professional tours, brings his extensive knowledge of both playing and teaching to the academy, further enhancing the standard of lessons offered to members and guests.
The enhancements at the PGA Golf Academy are well-timed, as Laguna Golf Phuket will once again host the influential 2025 PGA Members’ International Conference from 28th April 2025 to 1st May 2025.
