Five Texas Bank and Trust employees promoted
Texas Bank and Trust has announced multiple officer promotions in Longview.
Kenneth Gomez was named assistant vice president and financial reporting manager in the bank’s accounting division; Mandy Hooker was promoted to administrative officer and payments operations manager; Julie Smith was promoted to administrative officer and technology and application support supervisor; Meagan Still was promoted to administrative officer and mortgage coordinator manager; and Elizabeth Pierce was promoted to administrative officer and operations manager in the bank’s Pine Tree branch.
Gomez has more than 12 years’ experience working in the financial services industry. He joined Texas Bank and Trust in September 2022 as a financial reporting specialist, having previously served as a senior auditor and a credit analyst at other East Texas financial entities. Gomez holds a bachelor of business administration degree and a masters of accountancy, both from The University of Texas at Tyler. He was recognized with an Accounting Excellence Award from the Accounting Education Foundation. He is a Texas board certified public accountant, and a graduate of the bank’s Leadership Academy, class of 2024. Gomez is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Hooker joined Texas Bank and Trust in 2018 as a specialist in the bank cards department. In 2023, she was promoted to payments operations supervisor. In this role, she oversees the daily operations of the payments department.
Smith has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She joined Texas Bank and Trust in March 2023 in the technology department. Prior to joining the bank, she served as an assistant vice president and supervisor of financial services representatives at East Texas Professional Credit Union and an assistant manager of card services at Eastman Credit Union. Smith holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Tennessee Tech University.
Still began her career with Texas Bank and Trust in 2020 as a mortgage coordinator. In 2024, she was promoted to mortgage coordinator manager in the bank’s residential lending department, where she oversees daily pipeline management and tracking for loan closings, as well as serves as a liaison between loan officers, underwriters, processors and third-party vendors. In supervising a team of mortgage coordinators, she provides training, coaching, and ongoing performance support to her staff.
Pierce joined Texas Bank and Trust in 2024 as an operations manager for retail services at the bank’s Pine Tree Financial Complex in Longview. Pierce holds a bachelor of science from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has more than 20 years’ experience in banking, having served in various financial services roles, most notably, as a branch manager and learning and development supervisor before moving to Texas.
