MIS portal launched to provide information about land acquisition projects in Bihar, ET RealEstate

PATNA: Revenue and land reforms department on Tuesday launched MIS portal through which one can get information about land acquisition projects in one click.

Department minister Sanjay Saraogi said the MIS portal, launched under the aegis of the directorate of land acquisition of the department, has been developed to review the land acquisition action and to make it transparent and accessible. “Through this portal, a particular project can be reviewed immediately and action completed on time by resolving the errors and problems reflected in the system. This will help in completing the ongoing projects in the state on time,” he said.

Additional chief secretary Deepak Kumar Singh, who was present on the occasion, said many land acquisition projects were going on in the state. “We hold meetings to monitor the projects. Now, it will be easy with the MIS portal to complete all the projects on time,” he said.

The minister said the process of land acquisition was going on for many projects of railways, including Patna Metro, various airports and expressways in the state. “With this portal, information about the action being taken at every level will be available on the computer-laptop itself. This portal will also help in adding wings to the other development-oriented works of the state,” he said.

At present, the process of land acquisition is underway for many important projects, including Patna Metro Project (85 acres approx), Patna Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) Project (105 acres approx), Vikramshila University Construction Project (205 acres approx) and projects related to road construction under NH, NHAI, MORTH, road construction department, besides various railway projects (including DFCCIL), related to construction of outposts and posts of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), airport construction at Gaya, Darbhanga and Purnia, land acquisition projects of water resources department for embankment/guide dam construction/repair etc.
