Raised Grain celebrates 10 years of brewing | Waukesha Co. Business News
A decade of brewing flavorful beer deserves more than just a day or weekend of celebration. Raised Grain Brewing Co. is planning a summer-long celebration to mark the anniversary, starting this weekend with the annual opening of the RG Terrace.
Raised Grain’s outdoor seating area at 1725 Dolphin Drive, Waukesha, will feature live music, an outdoor bar and steeltip dart boards with electronic scoring.
According to a news release, original brews from the first year of operation will once again be offered during the anniversary celebration. RG will also be releasing new beers, including barrel-aged beers and true mixed fermentation sours.
The 10th anniversary celebration will culminate with the 10th Anniversary Party on Sept. 20, at RG’s brewery and taproom in Waukesha.
“Raised Grain was on the forefront of new breweries opening in the Milwaukee area. In 2015, we were one of the first. The growth that we have seen has been amazing,” said Nick Reistad, owner and chief operating officer. “The past few years — with COVID and a recent contraction of breweries in the U.S. and here locally — have been challenging as an industry.
Raised Grain is in a great position despite the market challenges and we attribute much of our success to our amazing fanbase here in Waukesha, our awesome team, our distribution partners, and — most importantly — the awesome beer we make!”
Established in 2015 in Waukesha by Dr. Scott Kelley, Nick Reistad, Kevin Brandenburg, and Dr. Jimmy Gosset, Raised Grain has been producing boldly brewed beer for beer lovers. Raised Grain has grown from a small brewery in a small flex-industrial strip to one of the largest craft breweries in Wisconsin, with a large and bustling taproom and near-statewide distribution.
In nearly 10 years, Raised Grain has brewed over 30,000 barrels of beer — nearly 4 million pints. RG has brewed and released over 230 beers, but is most well-known for the Naked Threesome IPA. Raised Grain is open seven days a week.
