Golf Business News – La Reserva Club unveils ungraded sports facilities

La Reserva Club in Sotogrande has completed significant upgrades to its sports facilities, further enhancing the range and quality of recreational experiences available for members and guests.

The latest enhancements at the Spanish resort introduce several key upgrades, including refurbished padel and tennis courts at the Racquet Centre, and the installation of an artificial grass football pitch.

All the padel courts now feature 14mm turf for enhanced stability and cushioning, while glass walls offer a unique playing and spectating experience. The two clay tennis courts have been completely refreshed with high-quality materials, improving ball behaviour and offering an enhanced playing experience, while the two hard tennis courts now boast a six-layer Plexipave finish which provides an optimal surface for precision stroke play.

The football pitch, which is Sotogrande’s first artificial grass surface, is designed for futsal and five-a-side matches and features high-quality artificial turf and upgraded floodlights, creating the perfect environment for playing games during the day or the evening.

La Reserva Club offers a wide range of Sports Camps, with programmes combining tennis, padel, and football, open to the younger generations. It also boasts a strong coaching team to help members and guests, improve in any of the sports on offer, whether they be complete beginners or competitive athletes.

Rita Jordão, Director of Marketing for Sotogrande SA, said: “A healthy lifestyle, including sports activities, has always been at the heart of Sotogrande, and La Reserva Club’s latest enhancements reflect our commitment to providing high-quality facilities for our community.

“With upgraded tennis and padel courts, a new football pitch, and expanded coaching programmes, we’re ensuring that players of all levels can enjoy the very best sporting experience that is complementary to our world class golf course. Sotogrande continues to be a hub for world-class sport in the south of Spain, and these improvements further strengthen that reputation.”

Beyond its sports facilities, La Reserva Club is home to a championship golf course designed by Cabell B. Robinson, an inland beach club with a freshwater lagoon, and a selection of restaurants.
