LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to launch a residential township, spanning 5,610 acres, along the Agra Expressway. The project spans across 12 villages in the Kakori region and will be developed in two phases—Phase I covering 1,893.93 acres and Phase II covering 3,716.14 acres.

LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar along with teams from the acquisition, engineering and planning departments inspected the site on Tuesday. He directed officials to prepare a detailed proposal and layout plan for phased development. The land earmarked for acquisition falls under Sadar and Sarojininagar tehsils, including villages such as Bhalia, Adampur Indwara, Bahru, Jaliamau, Madarpur, Ibrahimganj and others.

Kumar said, “This township will offer superior housing facilities and unmatched connectivity. “

The township will feature a world-class hospital, Ayurvedic wellness centres and other healthcare facilities. Large plots will be reserved for educational institutions to establish the area as a new educational hub for the city.

Meanwhile, in the Anant Nagar housing scheme on Mohan Road, LDA began development work in sectors beyond the flagship Sector-6. Possession was secured in Sectors 3, 4, and 5 and over half of Sector-1. Kumar directed the officials to expedite progress and instructed for proper demarcation to prevent disputes.
