Outback Marine has announced the launch of the groundbreaking Sea.AI Watchkeeper System at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. Developed to revolutionise maritime safety and vessel awareness, the Sea.AI Watchkeeper brings cutting-edge optical and artificial intelligence technology to the helm of every boat.
Designed to enhance navigational safety, the Sea.AI Watchkeeper uses advanced cameras, computer vision, and AI-based threat detection to identify objects at sea – from floating debris to other vessels – in real time. By seamlessly integrating with existing marine electronics, Watchkeeper provides captains with unparalleled situational awareness, day and night, far beyond the capabilities of traditional radar or AIS systems.
Ran McDonald, Head of Sales at Outback Marine, said “We are incredibly excited to introduce the Sea.AI Watchkeeper to Australian boaters. It represents a major step forward in marine safety and navigation technology. Our customers have been looking for smarter solutions to manage risk at sea, and Watchkeeper delivers exactly that — combining AI with optical vision to create a second set of intelligent eyes on board.”
Patrick Haebig, from Sea.AI, added “Partnering with Outback Marine for the launch at Sanctuary Cove is the perfect match. Their deep connection with the Australian boating community and their technical expertise makes them an ideal partner for Sea.AI. Together, we’re bringing next-level maritime safety solutions to one of the most passionate boating markets in the world.”
The Sea.AI Watchkeeper system will be on display at the Outback Marine stand throughout the show at Pavilions P 253B, giving attendees an exclusive first look at how the future of maritime safety is already here.
