KENNEWICK, Wash.- Mimi’s Playhouse is an indoor playroom geared towards children ages zero to six years old. Mimi’s offers open play hours from 10a.m.-4p.m. for $15.

Martinique Haworth, Owner of Mimi’s Playhouse, said they also offer birthday parties with the chance to rent a party room.

Kids must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18, but parents can hang out in the parent area with complimentary coffee, tea and water. Haworth encourages parents to bring in snacks. “We have a reclining couch so they can rest and have a safe place for their kids to run around,” said Haworth.

Mimi’s Playhouse is new to Kennewick this year. Haworth said she had the idea after COVID when she found herself in a career she wasn’t very happy with. “I always wanted to own my own business and I just started doing a lot of research.” That is when Haworth started seeing playrooms pop up on social media and that it would add more options for younger kids in the Tri-Cities.

Mimi’s house is a tribute to Haworth’s mom. “I was very lucky and have the most amazing mother,” said Haworth. “My kids love to go to Mimi’s House to go and play.”
