Ahmedabad development body approves SOP for setting up RMC plants, ET RealEstate
AHMEDABAD: The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda) on Wednesday approved the standard operating procedure (SOP) for establishing ready mix concrete (RMC) plants in areas under its jurisdiction.
During Wednesday’s board meeting, guidelines were set for RMC plants around Ahmedabad city. Operating such a plant in the Auda area now requires a licence. The guidelines also mandate specific measures to control pollution from these plants. The authority has set strict guidelines, with monetary penalties for non-compliance.
The Auda board also approved 16 town planning (TP) schemes. For TP scheme 229, they appointed a consultant to oversee Jaspur Lake’s redevelopment. In TP scheme 61 of Khoraj, Auda authorised plantation work on final plot no. 133, delegating the responsibility to an organisation.
Additionally, recognising the deteriorating condition of houses in Auda’s existing urban poor housing scheme, the board appointed a consultant to undertake reconstruction.
