Columbia man charged with shooting at business on Providence | Mid-Missouri News
A Columbia man has been arrested and charged with five felonies in connection to a reported shots fired incident on April 5.
George Raines, 38, allegedly fired a shot into the window of a business at North Providence Road and Vandiver Drive in Columbia the afternoon of April 5, according to court documents.
Raines allegedly failed to stop when officers tried to conduct a traffic stop after the shots fired incident, according to court documents.
Raines is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree property damage and two counts of armed criminal action, court records show.
Witnesses reportedly told police they believed Raines was using illicit substances at the time of the incident, according to court documents.
Raines was booked into the Boone County Jail Tuesday afternoon and is being held there without bond.
