Derby Public Schools recently announced it has hired two new administrators in the district. Kati Thul will serve as the new Director of Teaching and Learning, while Todd McCarthy will serve as an additional assistant principal at Derby High School.
Thul has spent 25 years in education, most recently as the assistant superintendent for the Renwick school district (Andale-Garden Plain) the past seven years. McCarthy brings 13 years of experience in schools from roles working as a special education coordinator in Gardner-Edgerton and a school psychologist in the Blue Valley district.
Both will officially join district staff as of July 1.
