Tatum ISD receives safety award

Claims Administrative Services has announced that Tatum ISD, one of more than 350 Texas school districts and colleges participating in the CAS workers’ compensation risk pool program, recently received a safety award reserved for members that achieve superior loss control results.

Tatum ISD was formally recognized by Claims Administrative Services at its annual client appreciation event in January during the 2025 TASA Midwinter Conference in Austin. The Billy E. Hibbs Safety Award was presented for success in implementing safety programs designed to minimize losses and control workers’ compensation costs.

In recognition of its achievement, the district received a $500 Annie Ozella Jones Scholarship that it can award to a deserving student of its choosing. 

Five Texas Bank and Trust employees promoted

Texas Bank and Trust announced multiple officer promotions in March.

Windy Weaver was promoted to administrative officer and digital operations manager; Angie Herndon was promoted to administrative officer and mortgage quality control manager; Melissa Bass was promoted to administrative officer and loan servicing supervisor; April Bettis was promoted to administrative officer and HR generalist, human resources; and Christyan Lockridge was promoted to administrative officer and loan processing supervisor.

Weaver joined Texas Bank and Trust in 2011 as a float teller in the retail services department. She later transitioned to the bank’s service center as a customer care specialist before joining the T3 Tech Support team as a digital specialist. In this role, she became a team lead before her promotion to operations supervisor in 2021. Weaver currently oversees the operations of the bank’s digital services team as the digital operations manager.

Herndon began her career with the bank in 2013, holding several positions in the mortgage department to include quality control specialist and quality control lead. Before joining Texas Bank and Trust, Herndon served as a licensed escrow officer for 12 years and a licensed Realtor for three years.

Bass joined Texas Bank and Trust in 2014 working in escrow/insurance before becoming a universal associate in the bank’s loan servicing department. In this role, she was responsible for processing consumer, commercial and commercial real estate loans. She was promoted to loan servicing supervisor in 2023.

Bettis joined the bank in May 2017 as an administrative assistant. In 2021, she was promoted to human resources specialist overseeing employee recruitment and onboarding for TBT.

Lockridge started her career with Texas Bank and Trust in 2017 as a loan servicing associate before transitioning to loan operations trainer. In 2024, she was promoted to loan processing supervisor.

Eastman recognized for support of veterans

Eastman Chemical Co. has been recognized as a 4 Star Employer in the 2025 VETS Indexes Employer Awards. The award recognizes Eastman for its commitment to recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing and supporting military veterans and the military-connected community.

“We are honored to be recognized once again for our support of U.S. military veterans, guard members and reservists,” said Travis Smith, executive vice president and executive sponsor for EVETS, Eastman’s veterans resource group. “The training they receive through their military service is invaluable to Eastman and contributes to our ongoing success.”
