Supreme Universal sells duplex apartment for ₹174 crore in Mumbai, ET RealEstate
NEW DELHI: Supreme Universal has sold a duplex apartment spread across 12,148 sq ft in its project – Supreme ArtHouse situated on Carter Road, Bandra, Mumbai for ₹174 crore.
The two-floor sea-facing apartment has been purchased by Sarvesh Singh, executive director of Alkem Laboratories.
“While such transactions are more commonly seen in South Mumbai or Worli, this deal marks the largest of its kind on the Bandra seafront,” said Sunny Bijlani, joint managing director of the company.
The transaction attracted a stamp duty of ₹10.44 crore.
According to a recent report by Knight Frank India, Mumbai city (under BMC jurisdiction) is expected to register over 12,142 property transactions in April 2025, contributing more than ₹990 crore to the state’s revenue. While property registrations are set to rise by 4% year-on-year, stamp duty collections may see a slight 6% dip during the same period.
The market continues to be driven by residential demand, with 80% of all registrations in April attributed to residential properties—underscoring sustained end-user interest in the housing segment.
Shishir Baijal, chairman & managing director, Knight Frank India said, “Properties priced above ₹2 crore now account for 25% of total registrations, up from 22% a year ago.”
The share of registrations for properties priced at ₹2 crore and above increased from 22% in April 2024 to 25% in April 2025, totalling 3,010 transactions.
